  • Overview

    Inventa is seeking an experienced Tour Manager to oversee a Public Awareness Campaign that will be visiting high-schools from mid-January 2019 until early March 2019. 

    Responsibilities

    The main goal of this initiative will be to build awareness, engage with students and encourage conversations about positive alternatives to recreational cannabis use through experiential activities, delivering key messaging as well as directing inquiring individuals to where they can ask specific questions and get answers from experts. The Tour Manager will be required to support all aspects of the Tour. This will be discussed in further detail during the interview process. 

    Qualifications

     

    • Previous touring/event experience with a proven background in staff management (must have had direct reports at a supervisory level and leadership of large teams (6 -10 people at any given time))
    • Professional, mature, experienced with conflict resolution and capable of handling any situation that may arise on the road
    • Strong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with a wide range of people (in particular youth)
    • Proficient with Microsoft office and experience crafting client ready reports
    • Flexibility – Being able/available to be on the road for long periods of time (1-2 months at a time)
    • Ability to set up and tear down all tour elements at each venue – must be comfortable with manual labour and able to lift 50lbs without issue
    • Capable of driving all program vehicles (Large SUV, 16/18/20 foot truck; crew cab) in various weather conditions and terrains
    • Must have clean driver’s abstract and full driver’s license
    • Must complete a criminal record check
    • Proficient command of the French and English Language
    • Having a First Aid certificate is an asset

    Dates:

    Training:                    Second week of January (TBC)

    Tour Starts:              January 14th 2019

    Tour Ends:                March 8th 2019 or March 14th (TBC)

    Hours:                          Guaranteed 40 hours per week (starting January 14th)
